H&M <3 Shoboshobo. The new H&M “Art by:” collection in selected stores last week. A couple of H&M’s in Oslo are one of the lucky ones. This time the “Art by:”-colletion features french illustrator Shoboshobo. Wierdo drawings with some geometric paterns, ugly teeth and ripped off body parts with neon color details. At swedish H&M site the clothes are presented in a cubistic way. Nice, uh?
.
Shoboshobo from Pictoplasma:
Mehdi Hercbeg is a musician, artist and teacher of multimedia graphic design at the Ecole Estienne in Paris.
His project Shoboshobo originally involved Japanese visual artists and musicians. It toured through Japan as an art bus with interactive and collaborative happenings taking place in different places. He is part of several music projects and creates Motor Karaoke and jukebox installations. As a visual artist, he creates drawings and scribbles of beautiful creepiness.

I got some friends of mine to paint nice stuff on my building. Convincing the board of the building to pay graffiti artists to paint pretty things on the wall is better than just painting it yellow. Happy people all around the neigbourhood!

Kjeft a! presents Beautiful Losers at Cinemateket monday 03. nov 08 at 19:00.
I’ve been waiting for this movie. My friend Tone showed me the trailer some months ago and we both got all soft hearted. The movie features artists I love like Geoff McFetridge and Barry McGee.
I all ready got a ticket! This movie has got major responce at underskog and facebook, so you should buy your ticket in advance at Cinemateket.
About the film from website:
BEAUTIFUL LOSERS celebrates the spirit behind one of the most influential cultural moments of a generation. In the early 1990’s a loose-knit group of likeminded outsiders found common ground at a little NYC storefront gallery. Rooted in the DIY (do-it-yourself) subcultures of skateboarding, surf, punk, hip hop & graffiti, they made art that reflected the lifestyles they led. Developing their craft with almost no influence from the “establishment” art world, this group, and the subcultures they sprang from, have now become a movement that has been transforming pop culture.Starring a selection of artists who are considered leaders within this culture, Beautiful Losers focuses on the telling of personal stories. It speaks to themes of what happens when the outside becomes “in” as it explores the creative ethos connecting these artists and today’s youth.
